Where can I register my child for an activity?

You must register with the providers of the vacation activity. The providers for each activity are different. The “To the provider” button on the details page of the  respective offer will take you to the provider’s website with more details on how to register.

 

Why can’t I register my child on the vacation portal?

The vacation portal is a list of vacation activities in Monheim am Rhein. It is intended to give parents, children and young people a quick overview of the wide range of options. However, the respective providers themselves are responsible for carrying out the activity and registration.

 

Who can get a fee subsidy to help pay the participation fee?

Children and young people from families receiving social benefits can apply to the city of Monheim am Rhein for a fee subsidy for a vacation activity run by the public youth welfare service or an organizer recognized as an independent youth welfare organization.

This regulation also applies to vacation activities offered by open all-day schools. Families living in Monheim am Rhein can apply for the fee subsidy.

How much are the participation fees for the vacation activities?

The participation fees vary from offer to offer. There are also free offers. You can select a corresponding filter in the “Filter” section.

 

How do I pay the participation fees for a vacation activity?

You pay participation fees straight to the providers of the vacation activity.

 

My child has a disability. Which vacation activities can my child take part in?

Every child with and without a disability should be able to take part in all the activities on offer. Where possible, the providers will find an individually adapted solution so the child can take part in the activity. Interested parties should contact the providers in advance.

 

The list of offers is too long for me. I am looking for a specific activity. How can I get a good overview?

You can select filters in the “Filter” section. The offers can be sorted by “Age”, “Vacation”, “Duration”, “Cost” and “Provider”.

 

The desired vacation activity is already fully booked. Can I put my child on a waiting list?

This varies from offer to offer. Anyone interested should contact the provider.

When will all the vacation activities be online?

Providers regularly post their activities on the vacation portal themselves. Full details on activities should be uploaded at least six weeks before the start of the vacation in question.

 

Which providers are allowed to post offers on the vacation portal?

Vacation activities organized by public youth welfare services, cultural education services, non-profit  associations or an organizer recognized as an independent youth welfare organization can post their offers on the vacation portal.

Commercial providers are not allowed to do so.
